Perfect, dated rooms that are very secure, clean and extremely comfortable beds to sleep in. McDonald's a stone's throw away and Morrisons store just a few hundred yards away. I work for the NHS and it meets my expectations. Thank you to the staff for always taking care of my needs.
We stayed here for one night - room only - and were happy with what we got for the price we paid (only around £50!). The room felt clean and although very dated, we were pretty comfortable! It served the purpose for an overnight as we drove from south to north. No major complaints here!
After reading the reviews we were sceptical… I o be fair it’s not a bad place, staff are really nice, car parking is easy enough and rooms were fine. I get some of the decor looked a bit in need of some tlc but it wasn’t as bad as some ppl make it out to be. There are cigarette butts and trays outside of the rooms which need addressing, the walls are thin and you can hear the other residents when they’re coming in and out, but it’s not too bad. Overall defo worth it, and would stay again, staff are very welcoming and rooms are clean.
I cannot recommend this place enough, I'd have paid more for both the room and the food. Staff are really accommodating and friendly. I stay away alot with work. They've absolutely done and made the most of the space they have with the view from your balcony room making you forget about the town on the doorstep.
I've stayed here numerous times. Its exactly what I need. Bed for the night and a fantastic breakfast all in the price. Usually stay 2 weeks at a time. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Fully recommended.
Perfect 3 course meal very christmassy Very engaging to the eye and taste buds . Thankyou so much The service were spot on the 2 ladies very helpful and happy to be at work. The food was beautiful and better than expected . The hotel is a beautiful place very cosy and all trimmed up for Christmas
We've stayed twice here. It's convenient as it's close to the city centre. It's a pub and a events venue so you can expect some noise. But it's full of character, history, and we have never had a bad experience.
We have been coming to the Garrison for our yearly Christmas meet up for several years now (NHS Nursing team) and are never disappointed but i have to say this year has been the best. The lovely singer was an added bonus and the service was excellent - staff friendly and helpful as always. Food was also delicious
